A five-year-old girl from Colorado fell from a window of a three-story apartment but was saved by her stuffed Minion toy from the hit animated movie "Minions."

The child was playing in her bedroom when she accidentally flipped backwards onto the open window, but she was able to hang on to her stuffed Minion toy that was believed to have cushioned her fall, Colorado Springs Police said in a statement, according to Reuters.

The girl was then taken to a local hospital and was treated for a broken arm, according to the New York Daily News.

Catherine Buckley, a lieutenant from Colorado Springs Police, revealed that this would mark the fifth time that a child accidentally fell from an open window in the largest city of the state.

"Thankfully none of the injuries have been serious, but people should make sure to have an adequate screen or some other way to block a child from open windows," Buckley said.

This incident marks the second time that the toys from the movie have made headlines. McDonald's landed in hot water for their talking toy Minions as part of their Happy Meals line of toys when parents claimed that one of the toys utter swear words.

The fast food chain denied those claims, as HNGN previously reported.
