In the constant struggle between Sony and Microsoft for next-gen console supremacy it appears there are many theaters of the PR war. One of the most unexpected forms the competition has taken is in which will have the better color customization options.

Last week Sony unveiled two new colors for its DualShock 4 controller, "Magma Red" and "Wave Blue." This isn't the first time Sony, or Microsoft for that matter, has offered its users the option to use controllers that are a different color than the standard black that comes with the console.

Meanwhile, however, Microsoft is allegedly offering employees a white version of its next-gen console, the Xbox One. On Monday, a Reddit user posted an image of an Xbox One that he or she says can be ordered by Microsoft employees who are working on the Xbox team. He or she says the image was obtained from a friend who "works on the Xbox team."

The image, pictured above, shows the same Xbox One design that gamers and fans have become familiar with over the past few months, except this one has been rendered in white. In addition to the actual console being white, the controller for the Xbox One is also featured in white. Unfortunately for those who want to add a little bit of color to the top of their TV, the Kinect in the photo is still only available in the standard black.

CNET points out that it's important to note that these images cannot be verified except by Xbox One, which has not commented on the matter. However, if these images are real and the Xbox One is currently available as a special treat for employees of the company who are working on it, it might not be long before Microsoft decides to allow all users to purchase the Xbox One in white.

Tell us what you think, would you prefer a black Xbox One, or would you spend your money on the white one given the chance?
