At Microsoft's Gamescom press conference, Infinity Ward, creator of the highly anticipated "Call of Duty: Ghosts," confirmed a few new features coming exclusively to the Xbox One.

The biggest news out of Microsoft's Gamescom press event was the news that it will be offering a special "Call of Duty: Ghosts" Xbox One bundle for Europe that will ship with exclusive content when the system launches later this year. However, no real pricing information was revealed regarding how much this bundle will cost.

Another important feature announced by Infinity Ward and Microsoft is the news that "Ghosts" will have dedicated servers on the Xbox One. This will help leverage the console's new cloud platform, representing a significant departure from the franchise's previous history of having players host the multiplayer matches. This will lead to better regulated matchmaking and faster online play. It will also help to ensure that each person in a multiplayer game will be playing at the same speed. No more having one player lagging and accidentally doing very well against you.

Infinity Ward took this opportunity to debut a new multiplayer mode as well - Blitz, according to IGN, is an objective-based game type similar to capture the flag where players fight to reach the opposing team's capture points. A rush game perfect for that run and gun class each "Call of Duty" player traditionally has in his or her arsenal, or "squad" now that the new system has been unveiled.

"Call of Duty: Ghosts" recently unveiled its multiplayer features including destructible environments, new game types like Blitz, as well as a slew of new weapons and streaks. In addition is the new way it ranks prestige mode. No longer will one soldier level ten times. Instead ten soldiers will level one time creating a dynamic and full customizable squad. This squad can go up against the multiplayer universe's best players as advanced AI bots in a squad vs. squad battle.

Microsoft also took the time to announce that those in Europe who pre-ordered the console before Christmas will receive a free digital copy of "Fifa 14." Those who have already ordered the console will receive the popular soccer game as well.
