Jill Scott has repeatedly defended her mentor Bill Cosby despite countless allegations that he drugged and sexually assaulted women throughout his career. Now the singer says that she no longer supports or stands by the comedian.

On Monday, Scott took to her Twitter account to explain that she defended Cosby because there was no concrete evidence against him. The singer said that, after reading the newly released court documents in which Cosby admitted to drugging women for sex, she can no longer support her mentor. "About Bill Cosby. Sadly his testimony offers proof of terrible deeds, which is all I have ever required believing the accusations," said Scott in a tweet.

In 2005, Cosby testified that he got quaaludes with the intent of giving them to young women he wanted to have sex with. He admitted to giving the sedative to at least one woman and "other people," according to documents obtained by the Associated Press.

Scott went on to admit she was wrong in standing by "The Cosby Show" alum, and wrote on her Twitter, "I stood by a man I respected and loved. I was wrong. It HURTS!!! When you get it ALL right, holla."

Scott is a nine-time Grammy winner and has charted five entries on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart, according to Billboard. Cosby has not released a statement since the court documents were released Monday.
