"Minecraft" Windows 10 Edition is up for its beta version launch later this month, as announced by Microsoft and hit world-building game creators Mojang on Saturday.

The game is fairly similar to the current versions of the game available in other platforms. This version will be upgraded in the sense that it will be made compatible to Windows 10 features - access to built-in game recording, seamless switching between mouse and keyboard, controller and touchscreen options and Xbox Live intergration.

The Windows 10 edition will also feature enhancements to the game's weather systems, including snow accumulation.

"The Windows 10 version of 'Minecraft' is considered a work in progress." says Matt Booty, general manager of "Minecraft" based in Microsoft's headquarters in Redmond, Wash. "We want the community involvement on shaping the game and where we should take it," USA Today reports.

The game will launch alongside Windows 10 on July 29. If you already have the game in your PC, the Windows 10 edition will be free for you, otherwise, you will have to pay $10 for the beta that will last for an undetermined period of time, according to PC World.

It's not really a beta in the traditional sense, though. Much like previous versions of "Minecraft," future updates will be free, CNET reports.
