At this time last year, everyone knew Marvel Studios was good thanks to "The Avengers," but no one yet knew how good. Then "Guardians of the Galaxy" came along, sweeping up $774.1 million at the worldwide box office, and taught the movie going public to never again doubt the House that Kevin Feige built.

Director/co-writer James Gunn created a distinctive, fun and enjoyably goofy take on a relatively unknown comic book property and the rest, as they say, is history. Ever since, fans have been clamoring for any and all details about the sequel. We know that the follow up will delve into Peter Quill's family history and that it won't include a few iconic villains from Marvel lore. Now, we also know the official title.

"We start shooting Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 2 in February-March 2016," Feige said via Collider while promoting the upcoming "Ant-Man."

Feige was evasive when asked at the end of the interview if he had just revealed the official title, but it makes sense that "Guardians" would go with a "Vol. 2" route after Quill's awesome mix tape. Also, Gunn tweeted this just a few short minutes ago.
