Christina Aguilera is having a girl! The newly engaged singer reportedly made the announcement to her fans at an event in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Justjared.com reports. According to the site while the 33-year-old was on stage she told her fans that she and her fiance Matthew Rutler were expecting a baby girl.

The news was also confirmed to US Weekly and Hollywood Life. News of Aguilera's pregnancy broke in February, shortly after she announced on Twitter that she was engaged. The "Beautiful" singer already has one child, a six-year-old son named Max from a previous marriage to Jordan Bratman.

"[Max is] the love of my life, and I adore him," she said on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" in 2010. "He's such a character, and he's so happy and at the end of the day, that's what important."

Aguilera and Rutler met in 2010 on the set of her film "Burlesque." Rutler was a production assistant at the time. She made her engagement announcement on Valentine's Day by uploading a picture of a massive diamond ring with the caption "He asked and I said..."

According to the Daily Mail, Rutler had been planning the proposal for over a year. A source said the engagement ring he gave to Aguilera consisted of nine hidden multi-colored gemstones that represented special moments in their relationship.

"Matt spent over a year designing the ring with the ring designer to represent their three-year journey together as a couple," the source told People magazine, the Daily Mail reports. "He has been planning this for a while and was just waiting for the right time - the ring has been done for months. Every single placement of each stone has a reason and meaning."

"There are nine special multi-colored gemstones that you cannot see," the source continued. "They all symbolize something meaningful to the couple. Christina is very spiritual and having the stones touch her actual skin will emit positive energies surrounding her at all times. They represent things like love, protection and healing."
