Prince Louis, the youngest son of the Prince and Princess of Wales, turned six on Tuesday (Apr. 23), coinciding with St. George's Day, a religious holiday for the UK's principal constituent country, England.

According to local British media, the little prince is expected to celebrate his birthday with celebrations organized by his parents, William and Catherine.

It could likely be a family party after school hours, perhaps involving Louis's maternal grandparents, Carole and Michael Middleton.

This also meant that royal fans were looking forward to a new photo release from Kensington Palace.

However, as of this writing, no new photos have been released since the Mother's Day photo debacle, which left Catherine, herself an amateur photographer, apologizing for the mishap.

It could be recalled that the past few months have been an eventful period for the British royal family due to the double cancer diagnosis of Catherine and King Charles III

William and Catherine took the time to sensitively share the Princess of Wales's positive cancer test with the young royals, giving them time to process the information, The Independent reported.

Louis was last seen publicly on Christmas Day when the whole House of Windsor made their traditional festive appearance on the king's Sandringham estate to attend a church service.

He was pictured holding hands with Zara and Mike Tindall's eldest daughter, Mia, on one side and grasping his father's fingers with his other hand.

Earlier that month, Louis joined his older brother, Prince George, and her older sister, Princess Charlotte, at the annual Westminster Abbey carol concert by Catherine.

A few weeks before, the three children were taken volunteering by their mother, visiting the Baby Bank in Holyport near Maidenhead, and got stuck in sifting through donated goods.

The young prince became the crowd's darling when he was first seen doing cheeky antics on the balcony of Buckingham Palace on several occasions.

Louis and his older siblings attend Lambrook School in Berkshire. He recently returned to the classroom after the Easter break.

Prince Louis is currently fourth in line to the British throne, after his father, William, and his siblings, George and Charlotte, respectively.

The Mirror recently revealed that Catherine has been hands-on in parenting Louis as she was worried that her younger son, while not as crucial a spare as Charlotte, would follow in the footsteps of his estranged uncle, Prince Harry.

Meanwhile, Charlotte will be turning nine on May 2.
