A Christian movie review magazine criticized the new "Barbie" movie, which will come out on July 21. 

MOVIEGUIDE, a faith-based film review website, said that the new film compromises its main demographic by catering to a small portion of the audience.

According to Fox News' latest report, MOVIEGUIDE's latest film review claims that the new "Barbie" movie is ignoring its key demographic. 

"They had a built-in market and audience for this franchise that they completely ignored," said a MOVIEGUIDE staff via the magazine's official blog post

The film reviewer added that Mattel, the entertainment company behind "Barbie," chose to cater to a small portion of the population that abandoned the box office numerous times. 

The MOVIEGUIDE staff said that by casting LGBTQ+ celebrities, the new "Barbie" film could miss millions of families who would have purchased movie tickets. 

BuzzFeed recently reported that the upcoming "Barbie" movie will feature three openly LGBTQ+ actors: Alexandra Shipp, Scott Evas, and Hari Nef.

MOVIEGUIDE Claims 'Barbie' is a Bad Film 

MOVIEGUIDE claims that the new "Barbie" is a bad movie since Mattel decided to distribute it via Warner Bros. 

The Christian movie review magazine explained that Warner Bros. is among the entertainment studios ignoring the core audience. 

It mentioned Disney and Pixar, saying that the two movie companies suffered huge revenue losses with "ELEMENTAL." 

MOVIEGUIDE added that these entertainment studios perform better if they make films that promote biblical and pro-family values.

The magazine compared the new "Barbie" film to the original cartoons. MOVIEGUIDE said that even the "Barbie" cartoon films promote self-sacrifice, compassion, teamwork, redemption, and other biblical values. 

At the end of its "Barbie" review, MOVIEGUIDE said that parents know what brands support, so they need to learn the "truth" about Mattel's upcoming film.  

Actors Defend 'Barbie' 

While many people are criticizing the upcoming movie of Mattel, others are defending it. 

One of them is Harley Quinn actress Margot Robbie, who will play Barbie. 

She said that the new movie was created to be for everyone. 

"This is such a thing people say when they do press for a movie. They're like, 'It's for everyone.' But it was literally crafted to be for everyone," explained Robbie.
