Whereas Jelena shippers are still hopeful that Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber might someday get back together and have their chance of a happy ever after, so does Selena.
The Inquistr reported that the 'We Don't Talk Anymore' singer is allegedly still hosting strong feelings for Justin who was her boyfriend for four years before they decided to call it quits when -- wait, when did the two really call it quits? With the on and off Jelena relationship, it has been hard to keep track of their romantic timeline. This same on and off nature of their relationship also led the fans to believe that the two will be back in each other's arms in no time.
The very recent drama of Selena and Justin, however, took place in August over an Instagram feud wherein the latter posted a photo with his then 'girlfriend' Sofia Richie and the Jelena fans reacting not quite well with the photo. To the surprise of the fans, Selena reacted and commented on the said photo and the rest is history.
Selena and Justin started throwing each other cheating allegations when they were still dating and a few days later, Justin deactivated his Instagram account. Although Selena attempted to reach the "Love Yourself" singer in order to apologize, Justin is not having any of it.
Justin continued to ignore Selena until the latter was reported undergoing an emotional breakdown and a career hiatus. Selena's depression has been linked to Justin, with sources of In Touch claiming that the "Same Old Love" singer encountered problems in coping with Justin's new-found romance. Adding Justin's decision to ignore his ex, Selena became more frustrated.
Meanwhile, Justin just recently broke off with Sofia. This has sparked speculations whether the two is ready to bury the hatchet and rekindle their romance. As per The Inquistr, Jelena era, however, is over considering that the chance of the two getting back together is pretty low. Justin reportedly has no plans to start anything with anyone because he wants to be single.
While this may be true, fans are still holding on to Justin's words a few years back, "I think we are both just on our own journeys and figuring ourselves out, and I think maybe once we figure ourselves out, we can come back and make an awesome duo or she finds someone awesome and I'll find someone awesome. I just want her to be happy."
Surely, fans would love to see them happy either with each other or with someone else. Fans, however, cannot forget that once upon a time, Jelena was an A-lister pair. For now, let's hope what's best for Justin and Selena. Stay tuned for more exciting updates!
