Warning: The following contains possible spoilers for "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" and "Star Wars: Episode VIII."

"Star Wars: The Force Awakens" is still far, far away yet already we are looking forward to "Star Wars: Episode VIII." Not a lot is known about the future sequel (then again, not a whole lot is known about "Episode VII") but a few rumors have begun to escape the death grip of Disney and Lucasfilm.

Ever since the new trilogy was announced, fans have been wondering if Billy Dee Williams' Lando Calrissian would be making a return in future films. Now, Making Star Wars is reporting that the companies that are being licensed for "Star Wars" merchandise are being told that "Lando is likely returning in Star Wars: Episode VIII to avenge a friend and lead a fleet." This would fit in with a previous rumor hinting at a friend in need of being avenged by the end of "The Force Awakens."

The other big rumor that is being floated to licensees is the introduction of a "Female Sith" for "Episode VIII." Whether or not this is a true blue Sith Lord or just a Dark Jedi with a red lightsaber remains to be seen. It is also unknown what this means for the fate of Adam Driver's evil character Kylo Ren.

Either way, these are some cool possibilities that are sure to drum up excitement from fans across the galaxy. Rian Johnson ("Looper," "Brick") will clearly have a lot of interesting material to work with for the sequel.

"Star Wars: The Force Awakens" is due out on December 18 while "Star Wars: Episode VIII" is expected in May of 2017.
