After a rough patch in Kendra Wilkinson and Hank Baskett's relationship just a couple of months ago, the two have finally been able to work things out and start to really repair their marriage.

The couple decided to go on the new season of "Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Star" to fix the mess they had made.

"It wasn't an immediate yes," Wilkinson told PEOPLE at the show's premiere. "But we thought about it and then we said yes."

"We're going through a huge marital crisis at the time," the reality star and ex-playmate continued. "It has four amazing therapists that are willing to help us for two weeks, away from social media, away from TV, away from the world and we're in. I mean come on."

Wilkinson then went on to explain that the show is what's saving their marriage. The show has officially ended, but the two are still going strong.

"We're in an amazing place," she revealed. "Everyday is work. We're working on it every single day and we're both willing to put in the work."

At the premiere, Wilkinson also told Us Weekly a little about their time on the show that saved their marriage.

"I never knew what the word forgiveness meant until I did 'Marriage Boot Camp,' and that was the key," she said. "I thought forgiveness meant to be a slave to the other person and to give in and to give them the power. It's not about that."

"Forgiveness, I learned, is about unity. Me not becoming a slave. Me having the power. Not letting anybody or anything from my past control my moment I'm in now."

It seems as though the show, which airs Fridays on We TV, has not only helped their marriage, but helped who they are as people.

"'Marriage Boot Camp' has made me an extremely strong person," she explained, "a stronger person than I've ever been in my life."

Wilkinson even said that her athlete husband was lost at one point, but he's "back on track" and very happy. The two have two children together, so it's important for them to make this work.

"At the end of the day, marriage is not only loving the person," she continued. "It's about caring for them as a person, as a human being, and that's what Hank truly deserves...I love him and I'll kill for him."
