A suicide bomber detonated his explosives after he was refused entry into a Shiite mosque in the capital of Saudi Arabia's oil-rich Eastern Province, claiming four lives, Washington Post reported.

This is the second attack in a week on the minority, after a suicide bombing in Qatif killed 21 people, including two children. The Islamic State of Iraq and Syria claimed responsibility for the attack that took place last week, according to the International Business Times.

According to Bloomberg, the suicide bomber was disguised in a traditional cloak normally worn by Saudi women, blowing himself up in the parking lot of the mosque in Shiite-dominated Dammam.

A video posted on Twitter purportedly shows the exact moment of the explosion from inside the mosque where Shiites gather for Friday prayers:

Saudi Arabia is supporting the United States in its fight against the Islamic State, and is leading a military intervention against Shiite rebels in Yemen. ISIS, the terrorist organization that has declared the rule of an Islamic government led by 'caliph' Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi in parts of Syria and Irag, has time and again targeted Shiites, whom they consider as heretics.

"Security authorities will spare no effort in the pursuit of all those involved in this terrorist crime," an official from the Saudi Interior Ministry said.
