Google wants to take virtual reality to the next level by partnering with GoPro to introduce a collection of 360-degree cameras that are compatible with its Jump VR platform.

Made up of 16 GoPros, the circular array features syncing capabilities, multi-camera control and a super-long battery life, Engadget reported.

The 3D footage from the camera will be processed with Google's Jump software and can be shared with the Oculus Rift, Google Cardboard and YouTube 360, according to Indie Wire

The camera will initially be available to some YouTubers and could be purchased by other interested buyers soon. Neither Google nor GoPro have revealed the price of the new camera.
