Now the most famous prosecutor in the country, State's Attorney for Baltimore City Marilyn Mosby once upon a time got a career boost from an unlikely source.

Mosby, who is the prosecutor in the ongoing Freddie Gray case, was a student at Tuskegee University in 2000 when she made an appearance on "Judge Judy," reports The Baltimore Sun.

A video of the episode was uploaded to YouTube on May 11. A spokesperson for the attorney's office in Baltimore confirmed to The Baltimore Sun that Mosby was in fact featured on the show 15 years ago.

On the episode, Mosby, the plaintiff, seeks money from her neighbor who she alleges destroyed her apartment during summer break. She paints a specific picture of what her neighbor did to her place of residence, highlighted by a broken door and cigarette marks that were left across the walls.

Judge Judy believed Mosby's story and eventually awarded her with $1,731.90 for the damaged apartment.

Now age 35 and leading one of the biggest American cases in recent memory, Mosby has much bigger issues on her mind. Check out the episode below.
