There still hasn't been any official casting news for the highly anticipated movie "Fifty Shades of Grey" but fans are eagerly pulling for their favorite actors and actresses to land the dream roles.

Alexis Beldel and Emilia Clarke have remained top contenders to play Anastasia Steele in the movie since casting rumors first began but they might too old for the lead. Fans were shocked and ecstatic when news broke that a casting call had went out for the lead roles of Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele.

The announcement posted to Actingauditions.org, said the movie was currently in "pre-production" which means executives and "Team 50" are now gathering and preparing all the elements needed to actually make the movie happen.

That is great, great news for all the eager fans that have been patiently waiting for some type of news to let them know the movie was actually going to happen. The casting call also revealed several other things, for instance it said that the actors chosen would need to be able to work in London and the United Kingdom. It had been a rumor in the past that the movie was going to be shot overseas but this casting call pretty much confirmed it.

It also gave some details about what the executives are looking for in the lead roles. For Anastasia Steele it specifically says they are seeking an actress who is between the ages of 20 and 25. That could automatically rule out fan-favorites Alexis Bledel, 31, and Emilia Clarke, 26.

Both of these actresses have been a top contender to play the shy, innocent college student form the very beginning. That could also be why Ian Somerhalder was said to be out of the running of being cast as the kinky billionaire. If the casting directors are strict about the age requirements, Somerhalder, who is 34, could have been too old to land the part.

According to US Weekly, a source revealed that author E.L. James was telling people at San Diego Comic-Con that the "Vampire Diaries" star was not in the running to be in the movie. Sine fans have been pulling for him from the very beginning they were crushed. The age requirements could also mean another fan-favorite, Matt Bomer, could also be out of the running. The "White Collar" actor is currently 35-years-old.

Do you think Alexis Bledel and Emilia Clarke are too old to land in "Fifty Shades of Grey"?
