"I want to Drake to murder my vagina" was the infamous tweet that seemingly sparked the media frenzy surrounding Amanda Bynes, a troubled 27-year old star who has had quite a crazy year and is now finally getting treatment, and rapper Drake recently opened up to XXL magazine about their alleged relationship, and his new album, of course.

When asked about Amanda Bynes, Drake responded, "I don’t even know who that is doing that or what that’s about. If that is her, I guess it’s a little weird and disturbing. It’s obviously a behavioral pattern that is way bigger than me. Whoever is behind it, whether it’s her or somebody else, they know people are paying attention so they keep it going."

Bynes has claimed on Twitter that she and Drake have a "mutual crush" on each other, and has called him "ugly" about as many times as she's called him "beautiful" and "gorgeous." The star's frenetic Twitter behavior, which included calling a variety of fellow stars and political figures (including the Obamas) ugly and declaring her love for plastic surgery that she appears to never have gotten, had made her a source of both controversy and fascination among fans and critics.

"Is Amanda Bynes crazy?" is a question that has plagued our minds for quite a time, as the star's run-ins with the law and bizarre behavior made people speculate on whether or not she truly was mentally ill or simply pulling a Jaoquin Phoenix and pretending to be insane for PR.

The interview with Drake seems to have taken place before Bynes was placed on her 5150 psychiatric hold, in which she wad admitted to a hospital for evaluation and treatment after setting fire to a stranger's driveway in her hometown of Thousand Oaks, Calif.

Word is that Bynes is taking after her favorite rapper Drake, and plans on launching a rap career with the stage name "A.B." Wacka Florcka Flame has already revealed he's planning working with the star on her debut album, and denied any allegations that she may be mentally ill.

"She has it all together to me," the rapper told TMZ in June. "She is cool as hell and ready for the rap world. I think she is going to kill the game."

As for Drake, his focus is clearly not on Amanda Bynes, but on his upcoming third album, "Nothing Was the Same."

"I remember coming into this year thinking, 'How am I going to cut through all these people and shine?'" the rapper told XXL magazine. "I’ve never been part of a year when so many legends are dropping projects. How am I going to be seen? I’m going to be like the kid waving in the background in the photo with all of his tall relatives. And, I guess, those were my initial thoughts, and not to say that I haven’t enjoyed some of the stuff that has come out this year, but it didn’t pan out the way I thought it was going to. I think I am going for it, to really establish what are murmurs or things being said quietly, 'Um, I think that Drake might actually…' On September 17th I want people to be like, 'Oh, we were right.'"

While Drake's new album will drop on Sept. 17, there is no word yet on Bynes's alleged rap album, and she has denied that Chinga Changa Records offered her a deal, claiming she has a bigger one in the works.
