Josh Duggar continues to back out of the spotlight in the wake of his child molestation admission.

The oldest Duggar son cancelled his appearance at a home schooling convention in Sandusky for later this week, according to TMZ.

Scheduled as a speaker, Duggar reportedly told organizers that he didn't want his recent scandal to overshadow or distract from the convention. The convention organizers have "commended" Duggar and his parents for how they've handled the situation and "it all reflects back on Christ," according to TMZ.

The 27-year-old father of three (with a fourth on the way) admitted to his past discretions on May 21. As a teenager, he confessed to molesting five girls. Some of the girls were allegedly his sisters.

TLC has pulled "19 Kids and Counting," which stars the Duggar family, from its schedule but has not cancelled the program. The network is considering three options: cancel the show, continue the show with Josh or cut Josh from the show and move on without his participation, according to TMZ.
