Kate Beckinsale has confirmed she will be doing another "Underworld" flick.

The actress is set to reprise the role of Selene, the iconic vampire character, in the franchise's fifth installment, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The latest addition to the series is entitled "Underworld: Next Generation," as revealed in the film's IMDb listing.

Theo James ("Divergent") signified his commitment to the fifth installment last fall ahead of Beckinsale, who was still uncertain of returning. The actor played the vampire David, Selene's protégé who developed the vampire-corvinus strain hybrid in the fourth installment, "Underworld: Awakening."

THR also reported that Anna Foerster has been asked to direct "Underwold: Next Generation." The studio's choice makes her the first woman to direct the franchise, which previously had Len Wiseman, Patrick Tatopoulos, Måns Mårlind and Björn Stein as directors. Foerster has had experience working under Roland Emmerich's guidance in the film "The Day After Tomorrow," and she has also directed episodes of the TV series "Outlander" on Starz.

The script to "Underworld: Next Generation" was written by Cory Goodman, but its details are still being kept under wraps. However, THR indicated that the new version will mostly center on the "younger generation of vampires and werewolves."

"Underworld" first came to theaters in 2003 with Beckinsale as the main character. It was later followed up by "Underworld: Evolution" in 2006, "Underworld: Rise of the Lycans" in 2009 and "Underworld: Awakening" in 2012.
