It's been a year since fans first waved goodbye to "Desperate Housewives" and the goings-on of Wisteria Lane, but is the popular TV show headed for the big screen?

If star Teri Hatcher has anything to do with it—maybe.

The actress revealed during an interview with "Extra" she would definitely be on board if the opportunity came her way.

"I love the fans of the show so much, and they don't seem to be done with those characters," she said. "I think it would be great for them. If a script ever came across my lap, I would read it hoping that it would work out, but I don't really see that happening."

While Hatcher may love the idea, show creator Marc Cherry is less enthusiastic about it. The "Desperate" mastermind said last year he didn't think the series needed a movie to feel complete; comparing it to the HBO hit "Sex and the City," which experienced a huge amount of success in it's transition to film.

"'Sex and the City' only did like 69 episodes," he said. "The advantage for them was they hadn't really plumbed the depth of those characters. After eight years, I think we're done. I'm happy about it. It's not a bad thing. I feel very satisfied with where we are."

But "Desperate Housewives" isn't the only TV hit getting movie buzz from cast members this week.

Former "ER" actress Julianna Marguiles recently told E! News she'd love to do a movie focusing on her character's wedding with on-screen beau, George Clooney.

"George just reminded me the other day that we are coming up on the 20th anniversary of 'ER' [and] we used to joke that they never gave us a wedding on the show," "The Good Wife" star said. "He said we should just do a movie and just see what the ticket receipts are... If George is in it, I'm game."
