McDonald's continues to improve the meaning of "happy" in happy meals.

This time, the fast food giant has redesigned its paper bags with a tearaway strip at the bottom, turning the takeout bag into an instant serving tray. The company has called its new creation the "BagTray."

The bag is a combined project by McDonald's Hungary and DDB Budapest ad agency. The takeout bag is still eco-friendly, and comes with reinforced cardboard at the bottom, making it sturdy enough to hold a large-sized meal without collapsing, Gizmodo reported.

The design might seem unnecessary to some, but for those who hate grease stains or for those who like to eat while driving, the design is truly appreciated. With the new design, customers can feel comfortable placing the meal on their lap without getting messy. The tray could even turn into a plate, if that's what you prefer.

Various gifs and videos on how the tray works have been promoting the new bag and making McDonald's customers excited to try it out.

There is still no word as to whether the bags have actually been released, and if they will be available in all McDonald's outlets across countries, according to Time.
