The world might be on pins and needles, but the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge seem have found a way to calm their nerves: retail therapy.

On Monday, Middleton was seen at her local hardware store, Zara Home, in Kensington High Street - not too far from her apartment at Kensington Palace - picking up nick-knacks and some items that could have been for a royal toddler or a royal baby, according to Daily Mail. Middleton bought salad servers, a plain door mat and nautical blue bath towels. Moving on to the children's department, Middleton picked up padded blue and white gingham hangars, picnic silverware and polka dotted cups.

During her 45-minute shopping trip, Middleton also took a look at some white baskets that could be perfect for the nursery. According to Daily Mail, the baskets are one of the stores top selling items.

On Wednesday, Prince William stopped in the Chelsea department store Peter Jones, where he purchased up £800 of men's clothing including trendy jeans and sweaters.
