Bruce Jenner, former Olympian and father to 10 (six biological children and four step-children), officially announced on Friday night that he is transgender. During an interview with Diane Sawyer, Jenner revealed his lifelong feeling that he was really "her.*"

Jenner said his biggest supporter is his step-daughter, Kim. And why? Because of Kanye.

Jenner told Sawyer: "Kim told me a story. She goes, 'You know what really turned me around on thinking about this?' I said, 'What?' She goes, 'Kanye.' I went, 'Oh, OK,' He says to Kim, 'Look, I can be married to the most beautiful woman in the world, and I am. I can have the most beautiful little daughter in the world, and I have that. But I'm nothing if I can't be me. If I can't be true to myself, they don't mean anything.'"

Added Jenner: "Since then, Kimberly has been, by far, the most accepting, and the easiest to talk to about it." Jenner also told Sawyer that since then Kim has given her full support, by telling her step-dad: "Girl, you gotta rock it and you gotta look good. If you're doing this thing, I'm helping you."

Khloe Kardashian has taken the news the hardest, Jenner said, because of all the losses she has had in her life - the death of her father and the issues her husband, Lamar Odem, has, included. However, after the 20/20 interview aired, Khloé Tweeted her support:

Not everyone was so supportive. Wendy Williams used her show as a platform to speak out against Jenner's decision to come out, calling the "reality" TV dad a "fame whore" and "Belinda."

"If this wasn't an obligation due to my career, I wouldn't watch," the talk show host said on Friday. "I feel duped by Bruce. ... I don't feel duped because he's turning into a woman. I feel duped because he's the same fame whore as the rest of the family. ... Bruce has bigger fish to fry than turning into Belinda. He should have thought about [transitioning] before he had all the kids. ... Belinda, shame on you!"

One of Kim Kardashian's ex-husbands, Kris Humphries, threw some Twitter shade... sort of... then took it back... sort of... (We're all still confused):

Perez Hilton was shocked, but for a totally different reason:

But, Jenner got a lot of love on Twitter - from regular Joe's (and Josephine's) to stars and other notable names:

* Jenner is currently asking for the pronouns "him" and "he" to be used and has not given up the name he plans on taking. However, Jenner's second wife, Linda Thompson, wrote an article for The Huffington Post in which she discussed her marriage to Jenner and divorce after he came out to her as transgender. Thompson discussed Jenner's first attempt to transition and his concern about explaining it to his children. "Around that time Bruce considered traveling out of the country, possibly to Denmark, to have the gender-confirmation surgery and then come back to the U.S. identifying as female," Thompson wrote. "I asked Bruce, 'What about the children?' He thought maybe he could reenter their lives as 'Aunt Heather.'"
