Andrew Garfield is back as Spider-Man and joined by a new pair of super villains in just-released stills from the upcoming "The Amazing Spider-Man 2."

The new pics show Garfield back in costume as the insect-bitten hero, and Jamie Foxx and Paul Giamatti as enemies Electro and Rhino.

According to director Marc Webb, Foxx's Electro will be causing most of the trouble for Spider-Man in the sequel, set to be released in 2014. The movie will pick up where the last left off as Peter Parker graduates from high school and finally accepts his identity as a hero. Trouble ensues when he must face off against former friend, Electro, in a city-saving battle.

Also featured in the photos is actress Emma Stone, who is reprising her role as Spidey's love interest, Gwen Stacy. The cute shot shows the couple, who are also dating off-screen, recreating some of the chemistry that made the first film such a success.

Not pictured is actress Shailene Woodley, who was set to take on the role of Spider-Man's future wife, Mary Jane Watson, before directors cut her role entirely from the film.

"I think it's smart, honestly," Woodley recently told MTV of the decision. "Looking back at it, MJ was in, I think, four scenes. I shot three days and they were good scenes, but they were also like 45-second long scenes, and to introduce such a vital character like that doesn't make much sense in the end.

"In the beginning I don't think it was something anybody ever really thought about, because it was just like, OK, we'll introduce MJ in this one, and bring her back in the next," she continued. "But then after they sort of started cutting it together, they realized that it didn't make much sense."

Woodley, who is set to star in highly anticipated films like "Divergent" and "The Fault In Our Stars," says that if her schedule allows, she'd love to take on the role again when Mary Jane makes an appearance in the third film.

"The Amazing Spider-Man 2" hits theaters May 2, 2014.
