"Younger" has been renewed!

The TV Land freshman comedy about a single 40-year-old woman, who finds herself back in the workforce following her messy divorce, has been renewed for a 12-episode second season. The show stars Hilary Duff, Sutton Foster, Debi Mazar, Miriam Shor and Nico Tortorella.

"Younger is the first step in TV Land's evolution, and we are very proud to announce a second season," Keith Cox, executive VP development and original programming at TV Land, said in a statement (via Deadline). "We're thrilled to continue working with Darren, and really eager to see where he takes this story and our amazing cast next."

Show creator Darren Star added, "We couldn't be more excited that audiences are discovering 'Younger' and falling in love with our fabulous cast. I can't wait to have everyone back in New York to shoot season two."

The scripted series premiered with its first season on March 31 and is averaging 452,000 total viewers. The Hollywood Reporter noted that "Younger" has been "seen by more than 20 million viewers across multiple platforms," including Nick at Nite, Hulu and TVLand.com.

"Younger" currently airs at 10 p.m. EDT on TV Land. The season one finale airs June 9.
