Kim Richards, The star of Bravo's "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills," sat down for a one-on-one TV interview with Dr. Phil McGraw to talk about her long-time struggle with alcoholism and to break her silence on being arrest at the Beverly Hills Hotel on April 16.

"I was angry and frightened and I was scared," Richards told Dr. Phil of her arrest (via People). "I knew what I had done. The whole night is my fault. None of this would have happened if I didn't drink."

According to People, officers responded to reports of a possible fight at the Polo Lounge at the Beverly Hills Hotel at approximately 1.30 a.m. She was asked to leave, but before police arrived, Richards reportedly locked herself in the bathroom and refused to come out.

At the time of Richards' arrest, she "was displaying symptoms of alcohol intoxication including slurred speech and belligerent insolent behavior cursing at the officers and passively resisted arrest," according to a statement from the Beverly Hills Police Department.  Richards was charged with public intoxication and trespassing.

"Hotel security requested to make a Private Persons Arrest and BHPD officers entered the restroom and took her into custody," Beverly Hills Police Department spokesman Lt. Lincoln Hoshino told Us Weekly. "She was passively resisting and she was taken into custody on Private Person Arrest."

While at he police station, the 50-year-old reality star reportedly kicked an officer. Richards was given a citation and eventually released. She is set to appear in court on June 11.

A source close to Richards claimed that the drunken incident was because the reality star was feeling "distraught" and "embarrassed" after watching the reunion for the seventh season of "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills." The source added that Richards is "under a lot of pressure, especially because of Monty [Brinson]," who is battling cancer.

Richards interview with Dr. Phil is set to air Tuesday, April 28.
