Ever since DC Comics announced that there would be a sequel to "Man of Steel" and that sequel would include Batman, the internet has been ablaze with casting rumors. Many people wondered if Christian Bale would once again don the mask and suit up as the iconic superhero but he has shut the rumors down.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Bale said that he was no longer interesting in playing Batman.

"We were incredibly fortunate to get to make three [Batman films]. That's enough. Let's not get greedy... I have no information, no knowledge about anything. I've literally not had a conversation with a living soul," he told Entertainment Weekly. "I understand that they may be making a Justice League movie, that's it... It's a torch that should be handed from one actor to another. So I enjoy looking forward to what somebody else will come up with."

Now fanboy site Cosmic Book News is reporting that "Teen Wolf" star Tyler Hoechlin is a top contender for the role of Batman in the sequel.

Hoechlin will reportedly be shooting test scenes with Henry Cavill, who plays the new Superman, to see if he would be a good fit. The website also reports that there other "better known" actors being considered for the role as well.

According to Cosmic Book News, the movie will be packed with superheros and could feature appearances from Wonder Woman, Green Lantern and The Flash. Superman and Batman are also reportedly teaming up to fight several different villains and movie watchers could see The Joker and Lex Luther as enemies of the main characters.

"The sequel is set a year after 'Man of Steel', and the world is still getting used to having this powerful god on the planet who isn't fully trusted by everybody. Batman certainly doesn't trust Superman. Superman doesn't trust Batman, either of which causes the two to clash when they initially meet," a source told the website. "They do however pair up to defeat the villains (not 100 percent confirmed who the villains are). Could be Luther and Joker, but only a select few really know that. Luther is definitely in the sequel and he doesn't like Superman, believing him a threat to the planet."

The sequel hasn't been named yet and filming is scheduled to begin the beginning of 2014, Cosmic Book News reports.
