A teaser trailer for the upcoming "Veronica Mars" movie was revealed at the San Diego Comic-Con on Friday, "Entertainment Tonight" reports. the four-minute teaser includes interviews, behind-the-scenes clips and a sneak-peek at the TV show turned movie.

In it Mars is seen getting a call from Logan, played by Jason Dohring, asking for her help. The clip also features a Neptune High School 10 year reunion. At the beginning of the clip producers and cast thanked fans for all their support and for contributing $5.7 million by 90,000 backers to help make the movie.

"Fans are cool, but 'Veronica Mars' fans are awesome," Kristen Bell said. "That's just kind of the way it works."

Fans were offered prizes for donating including a copy of the script or a digital copy of the film and a T-shirt for donating $35 while a $10,000 donation earned a cameo appearance in the movie as a waiter with one-speaking line, USA Today reports.

The movie is set ten years in the future after Veronica Mars leaves Neptune High School, goes to college and earns a degree and also goes to law school. She thought she has left her investigation days behind her until she gets that phone call from Logan.

"I can tell you that it sort of has a 'Godfather III" theme, which seems odd... Why not pick 'Godfather II,' a better movie," creator Rob Thomas said at the Comic-Con panel. "She has not worked a private investigator since the last time you saw her in Season 3. Part of the movie is her getting pulled back into this life she thought she left behind."

The film doesn't have an official release date yet but it will hit theaters in 2014.
