Kate Major Lohan, the wife of Michael Lohan, fell off the wagon in a big way on Thursday evening, and her husband took the brunt of it.

Police in Boca Raton, Fla., responded to the call from Michael and arrived to find a visibly drunk Kate, according to TMZ. Cops arrested Kate for battery, and she remained in custody at Palm Beach County Jail until her 9 a.m. court appearance on Friday morning.

Michael told police that Kate came home at 7:02 p.m. and struck him. She also scratched him across his back when he wasn't wearing a shirt.

She claimed her husband grabbed her by the throat, but Kate showed no signs of bruising around the neck. She then reportedly "scratched her throat area in an attempt to create red marks."

Kate admitted to the drinking, but then claimed Michael accused her of drinking and that's what caused the physical confrontation. The police report described the 32-year-old woman's speech as slurred, her eyes blood shot and glossy, and her face flushed.

Michael and Kate got married in November and share two children. The father of Lindsay Lohan is blaming his wife's drinking on the current custody battle between him and his ex-wife Dina Lohan.

"At the end of the day, this is all because of what Dina is doing in court," Michael told TMZ. "It affects Kate too, and like anyone with a drug or alcohol problem, when they can't handle stress, they resort to drinking."

Kate spent time in jail last year for a DUI following another fight with Michael. That arrest in May 2014 was a probation violation stemming from a battery case in 2012 when she allegedly attacked a police officer, according to TMZ.
