The rumors circulating about Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt planning to adopt a baby from Syria were confirmed to be false by "multiple sources," reported People.

The magazine reported that their sources close to the family called the claims "totally false" and "absolutely not true."

The allegations began in January when Women's Day claimed a chairty worker said the couple was going through top-secret negations and saw Jolie kiss the orphaned boy on top of the head.

Jolie and Pitt have six kids, half of which are adopted.

The couple adopted Maddox Chivan, 13; Pax Thien, 11; Zahara Marley, 10. Their biological children include Shiloh Nouvel, 8; and twins Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline, 6.
