Television has again inspired the LEGO-verse with a new idea based on the former NBC sitcom, "The Golden Girls."

The LEGO crafter "lostsleep" has pitched his "Golden Girls" set to the LEGO Ideas center in hopes of garnering enough support for his concept to become a reality. The project already has collected more than 7,700 supporters on its way to the necessary 10,000 for LEGO to consider the idea as an official set.

Designed like the TV set, the collection includes the foyer, the living room and the kitchen where Blanche, Dorothy, Rose and Sophia all lived for seven seasons on NBC. The creator also plans to add the lanai behind the foyer thanks to the support of 5,000 people.

The kitchen cabinets and refrigerator will have opening doors, and the living room will include the wicker sofa and chairs. Potted plans and a garden hose are around the back of the set.

In addition to the rooms, the creator also recreated famous scenes from "The Golden Girls" including Rose shooting Blanche's vase, Dorothy playing "Grab the Dough," and Rose rescuing her teddy bear from a "mean little girl." It even includes the ladies' food staple - cheesecake.

Other figurines include Burt Reynolds and Dorothy's ex-husband Stanley as well as a Sonny and Cher costume change for Dorothy and Sophia's mother-daughter duet of "I Got You Babe."

Supporters still have 343 days to reach the 10,000 votes needed at which point the project enters the LEGO Review phase. Set designers and marketing representatives will evaluate the idea, but not every set can be produced.

Bea Arthur, Rue McClanahan, Betty White and Estelle Getty starred as four older women living together in Miami. "The Golden Girls" ran from 1985 to 1992.
