A man at Universal Studios theme park in Los Angeles reportedly shot and killed himself on Friday afternoon.

The Los Angeles Sheriff's Department responded to a call at 2:24 p.m. of a possible suicide at Universal Studios Hollywood at 3900 Lankershim Boulevard, according to CBS Los Angeles.

The man appeared to have died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, a spokesperson for the LASD told CBS LA. The incident reportedly took place near the "Despicable Me" ride and the park has shut down several rides in the vicinity.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the man made no threats before shooting himself. No one else was injured or involved.
