BBC has suspended "Top Gear's" host Jeremy Clarkson pending an investigation around what they call a fracas with a producer.

Clarkson, 54, had received a final warning about his behavior after he allegedly used a racial slur, according to TIME magazine. Clarkson is accused of hitting the producer during an argument last week. Sunday's scheduled episode of the current season of "Top Gear" will not air.

The remaining three episodes of the season might not air either, BBC reported. Clarkson has not commented on the incident, but he joked on social media about the films that could replace Sunday's episode.

The BBC said it has not suspended anyone else and will not make any further comments at this time. This weekend's episode of "Top Gear" was going to show Clarkson and his other presenters at a classic track day. Clarkson has hosted the show since 2002.

He has faced a lot of controversy during his time on the show. Last year, Clarkson breached broadcasting rules when he used a racial slur for Asian people while filming in Burma. Prior to that, "Top Gear" presenters and crew were forced to flee Argentina because of trouble involving a number plate reading H982-FLK, which some suggested referred to the Falklands conflict of 1982.

"Top Gear" is viewed in more than 200 countries and is considered one of BBC's most successful series, according to TIME magazine.
