Don't for one second think that the New York Jets acquisition of Brandon Marshall, expected release of Percy Harvin and contract extension for David Harris, all announced Friday, is the end of their offseason shake-up.

The Jets, under new head coach Todd Bowles and GM Mike Maccagnan, are expected to "remain very proactive this offseason," according to a report from Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports.

If Friday's moves are any indication, "proactive" may be putting it lightly.

Per La Canfora, "major upgrades" are coming to the secondary - not entirely surprising considering the absolute mess that the position had become last season under former GM John Idzik.

At cornerback, perhaps Dee Milliner takes a big step forward next year or Kyle Wilson finally turns himself into a steady, reliable contributor, but significant changes and big additions would still need to be made.

Safety is a question mark as well. Last year's first-round pick Calvin Pryor had a good rookie season, showing intermittent glimpses of his future NFL potential, but often pairing them with head-scratching mistakes. The complete and utter failings at cornerback most likely exacerbated whatever issues he came into the league with, so it's probably fair to give him a pass.

Jaiquawn Jarrett was a pleasant surprise after being plucked off the scrap heap, but in no way shape or form can be counted on as a long-term answer opposite Pryor.

La Canfora also suspects - surprise, surprise - that the quarterback position will get significant attention this offseason.

Michael Vick is gone and Geno Smith is as big a question mark as ever. 26-year-old Matt Simms is on the roster as well, but has never started a game in the NFL and likely won't last through the regime change.

Of course, with the trade for Marshall, speculation has already begun to build that a Jay Cutler trade could be possible, but that notion is both far-fetched and unnecessary.

Why trade for one mediocre, turnover-prone quarterback with a ton of physical potential when you've already got one - Smith - on the roster?
