An original Apple built in the garage of Steve Jobs' parents, sold for $387,000 on an online auction of vintage tech products.

The Apple-1, one of the first 25 Apple-1 computers, was reportedly designed and built by Steve Wozniak in 1976, according to Forbes. Though 200 Apple-1 computers were made, it is thought that less than 50 of the original computers are still in existence.

According to Apple Insider, the computer was anticpated to sell for $500,000, but fell short of the prediction. It also was lower than $663,000 a functioning Apple-1 was sold for in May this year at an auction in Cologne, Germany.

If you have 25 to 30-year-old Apple computer products you bought for dirt cheap, you can still make a profit, but don't expect too much.

Forbes reports a 1984 Apple Lisa computer was expected to fetch $20,000 to $30,000 and a prototype Apple IIGS computer from 1986 was expected to make $10,000 to $15,000. However, neither of the items was sold during the auction.

The highest price earned for an older Apple model was for a 1997 Apple computer in an unusual transparent case, which sold for $6250.

It may not be hundreds of thousands, but $6250 is still a significant profit. When Apple-1 was first released in 1976, the computer sold for $666.66, according to Forbes.

Apple co-founder Steve Jobs passed away on Oct. 5, 2011. His life has since become a biopic in which Ashton Kutcher has stepped up to play Jobs.

According to the New York Daily News, "Critics have raved about Kutcher's performance in the film...and was forged from watching hundreds of hours of footage and conversations with Jobs' real-life friends. The 35-year-old actor was even hospitalized briefly after trying to mimic Jobs' fruit-only diet in preparation for the film."

"Jobs" will be released to theaters on Aug. 16.
