After Apple released a new update to its beta phase for the recently announced iOS 7, coming to almost all of its mobile devices in the fall, it didn't take long for registered developer Hamza Sood to discover menu options for the in car settings promised by the company at its World Wide Developer's Conference.

Making its debut at the Conference in June, Apple's iOS in the car promised an extension to Siri's Eyes Free feature, which allows users to command most of their smartphone's functions using voice commands, making it safe to use while behind the wheel. However, AppleInsider reports in the Car will feature a bit more than just being a media center system for music. It will actually display a customized version of iOS on the user's car display system screen.

Sood was the first to discover the "Accessory Developer" settings menu with three toggle switches, seen above, and preferences linked to Apple's AirPlay that read: "iOS in the Car Over USB," "iOS in the Car over WiFi" and "iAP over WiFi."

These act as the first real glimpse developers have seen of the iOS in the Car feature. The typical hard-wired USB connection will still be an option for the new iOS 7, the big news is that the company has taken things a step further and introduced a new level of convenience by offering the system through its AirPlay settings. AirPlay works over WiFi to allow an iPhone to beam Siri, maps, music, communications and much more information to a car's receiver without ever being taken out of the driver's pocket.

At its World Wide Developer's Conference, Apple promised a lot of innovations that will make their smartphones and other mobile devices the go-to products for in-car integration. With AirPlay, it is becoming clear to developers just what the scope of those promises is. Voice dictation of iMessages, the music player and Siri will make iPhones one of the best devices on the market for those who want to maintain a balance of safety and productivity behind the wheel.
