CGI is often the great divider in film. The computer-generated animation is often a key player in whether people are able to enjoy a film. However, the overuse of it in films like "Avatar" have caused many viewers to perceive it as a tool that is overused. However, one key CGI director has come to its defense.

Duncan Jones is the director of sci-fi cult hits like "Moon" and "Source Code." Jones is currently working on the live adaptation of the video game "Warcraft." This film already has a huge fanbase from the World of Warcraft gaming community. However, the film is reported to rely heavily on CGI to create the green orcs that established the series in the public's mind. However, some critics believe that this reliance on CGI will weaken the film.

Jones completely disagrees.

In a series of tweets, Jones  defends CGI from naysayers:

When one Twitter user argued that not using CGI gets a better performance out of the actors (the user brought up the cast's response to the chest-burster in, "Alien"), Jones responded:

Jones' previous films relied on CGI to help create the environments and worlds required for his films to work. However, none of them used it as heavily as Jones' upcoming "Warcraft" project will. Jones had to use CGI to create the worlds of Azeroth and Draenor in order to tell the story. This added 20-plus months of postproduction to finish the project

Warcraft will arrive in theaters on March 11, 2016.
