Harry "Bubby" Lyles Jr. will soon go on a date with one of the most talked about female athletes. Olympian Lolo Jones agreed to meet Lyles after the Georgia college student was able to secure 150,000 retweets for a post he had sent to Jones asking her out on a date.

According to USA Today Lyles, who had a crush on the star runner after seeing her in the Olympics, decided to ask Jones out on a date via Twitter. He sent her the tweet "Hey, if I get 150,000 retweets you gotta let me take you on a date."

To his surprise she tweeted him back and agreed to the challenge. Lyles took the next two weeks trying to get users on the social media site to help him out, and they did.

Almost two weeks after asking Jones on a date, Lyles had over 150,000 retweets, USA Today reports. The Olympian was shocked but didn't back out on the date and the two are making plans to get together.

Lyles and Jones have talked several times on Twitter and will be having their date in Jones' hometown of Baton Rouge. In an interview with USA Today when Lyle was asked how he plans on securing a second date with the track and field star he said by just being himself. He also said that he will be paying for their meal.

This isn't the first time a fan has asked a celebrity out on Twitter and Jones even admitted on HBO's "Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel" that she has used the site in the past to find dates saying that she has had zero success on dating sites.

"I'm waiting for the day where somebody totally tricks me with their Twitter picture," she joked. "Like they're using an Abercrombie model and I show up on the date with somebody from 'The Biggest Loser'."

It's hard to believe that Jones is still single but she said that the main reason she has a hard time finding a steady boyfriend is because she's still a virgin and plans on staying on until she is married. According to US Weekly, the 30-year-old athlete revealed the news on Twitter and further explained her reasoning on "Real Sports."

"It's just something, a gift that I want to give my husband," she said. "But please understand this journey has been hard. If there's virgins out there, I just want to let them know, it's the hardest thing I've ever done in my life. Harder than graduating from college, has been to stay a virgin before marriage."

She said she has definitely been tempted and has had plenty of offers. She admitted that she gets judged for being a virgin at her age but she doesn't let it get to her.

Lyles recently posted that he was excited for his date with Jones and will keep his followers updated on what happens.
