Britney Spears has been hard at work in the studio with Will.i.am and William Orbit on new music for her upcoming eighth studio album, and recently the star took to Twitter to tell her excited fans that it will be her "most personal album ever" and may surprise fans, according to AceShowBiz.

"Really excited 2 give u a taste of my new album...," she tweeted July 3. "can't wait 2 share what I've been working on. Going to be my most personal album ever :)"

"I want to definitely take this album and have a new approach with it and make it a little different than anything I've ever done," the star said On Air With Ryan Seacrest. "People will be surprised with this album. It will be really different. I think the kids will appreciate it, but this music will have more of a cool approach to it."

As for new music, Spears recently released a new track "Ooh La La" that will be featured on "The Smurfs 2" soundtrack, a synthpop song that has received generally favorable reviews from critics so far. While it is yet unclear on whether or not her album will feature tracks similar to "Ooh La La," it has been confirmed that Spears is once again working with Will.i.am on her follow-up to 2011's "Femme Fatale."

The music video for "Ooh La La" will feature Spear's two sons, Sean and Preston, as her kids are huge "Smurfs" fans, and Spears "always loved the Smurfs as a kid," according to Billboard. The video was filmed last month and is set for release sometime early this month. "Ooh La La" is a kid-friendly song that several critics have described as "vintage Britney."
