Championship surfer Bethany Hamilton and her husband Adam Dirks have a huge announcement: they're pregnant! The 25-year-old athlete shared the news in a super cute video she posted on her website.

"We have a little surprise for you ... baby on board!" Hamilton said, as her husband added: "She's pregnant, yes!"

Hamilton explained that she's 22 weeks along and due at the beginning of the summer. The couple also revealed that they are expecting a baby boy and are still "prowling" for names.

"It's been a pretty crazy last four months, finding out that we're going to be parents and life's going to be changing," Hamilton said in the video. "[We're] starting to prep for bringing a new little being into the world."

In a short blog post, Hamilton explained that her film "Surfs Like a Girl" would have to be delayed because of her exciting baby news.

"I'm happy to share this wonderful time in our lives with you! We are looking forward to becoming parents early this summer. I've always looked forward to one day being a mom and now that the time is coming; it is pretty nerve-racking," she wrote. "I pray that the Lord will lead Adam and I in this new step in life, that we may show the ways of the Lord to our child and future children. Last year was an EPIC year; I think this year will be even more exciting and memorable!

Hamilton isn't letting her pregnancy slow her down and told fans that she'll continue to surf until "lil Jr. takes over my belly." In the video she also said that she's going to have to learn how to handle a newborn and being a new mom with only one arm. Hamilton lost her left arm in a shark attack in 2003, which inspired the 2011 movie "Soul Surfer."

"I've been thinking about it, but I often forget that I have one arm," she said. "When I think about it, a squirming baby and changing the diaper... I think how I live life, just adjust and adapt to different things, especially things that are a lot easier with two arms."

"There's going to be things that will be very challenging with one arm, but I'll just have to find my own way to take care of this baby," Hamilton added. "Of course, I'll have Adam to help, but if he's out and about busy, I'll have to ... figure it out and be creative."

Hamilton and Dirks, a youth minister, got married in 2013.
