Texting-while-driving might be suspected in the multi-vehicle crash involving Olympian and Kardashian stepdad Bruce Jenner. The Pacific Coast Highway car accident killed a woman in Malibu, Calif. on Saturday.

According to the Associated Press, authorities said investigators will probably ask Jenner and the other drivers for cellphones so they can check call and text data.

Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Sgt. Philip Brooks said search warrants will also be obtained, if need be. Brooks told the AP that although it is hard to tell if a driver was texting at the exact moment of collision, texts leading up to the crash could determine how - and whom - gets charged.

Authorities said Jenner passed a sobriety test, according to the AP. There was some speculation that Jenner was being chased by paparazzi, but authorities say that was not the case.

"Being a celebrity, he is often followed by paparazzi," Brooks told the AP. "He was aware of that, and it doesn't appear he took any evasive action to avoid the paparazzi."
