Though Kim Kardashian and Kanye West thought that North West would have a sentimental meaning, many people have disagreed over the name.

But one of the Kardashian family members warned the couple that it did not matter what they named their child, because there would always be a backlash.

According to E! News, when Rob Kardashian was on Ryan Seacrest's radio show Wednesday morning, he told the host that he advised the new parents to avoid listening to the criticism.

"I told Kim and Kanye this: I'm like, 'Yo, people are always going to talk whether it's good or bad. There's always going to be the haters, but do what you guys feel,'" the reality star said. "Like, you know everyone's going to say, 'Oh, you're coming up with some weird celebrity, crazy name.' You know how it is."

Despite the harsh criticism over the name North, the 26-year old actually likes the name.

"[But] North West, it sounds cool!" Rob said. "[And] North is the highest point, so it has a lot of meaning to it.

"When it comes to babies I like to give the person all their time with their significant other [to] let them enjoy their moment" and "I'm actually looking for like a giant animal to get North," he said.

The reality star also revealed that baby and mom are doing very well. Kim, 32 gave birth to her daughter North West on June 15. The child was delivered five weeks premature due to the reality star's undisclosed medical complications.

The baby is said to be healthy and looks a lot like Kim.
