Week after week, we see the evidence pile up about how our sedentary lifestyle and constant sitting is killing us. It's hard to deny. But transitioning to standing desks at our job can be hard, considering how many people work in cubicles.

Tech/desk company Stir has designed their "smart standing desk" for just that function.

The new M1 Kinetic Desk is designed to tell users when they should stand up. Like its predecessor, the F1, the desk has built-in sensors to track how much the user sits or stands and stats are displayed on a 5-inch built-in screen.

The device also has a built-in timer. Every once in a while, the device will "breathe" (move up an inch) and then come down. This breath is the sign that the user should stand up in order to protect their health. Users can either ignore it or double-tap the screen to make it rise.

The data the M1 gathers is then transferred to the Stir Internet cloud so that users can track their stats via the Stir Website or to your wearable. The desk itself is compatible with the Fitbit and can transfer that data to the device for future tracking.

On top of that, the Stir Desk's accompanying chair can track your activity levels and give you tips to improve posture.

If customers are looking for a way to improve their posture and stand up more during their life, the Stir M1 Kinetic Desk is a great choice.
