A 2-year-old girl was found alone at her Ohio home after her mother died of a suspected drug overdose in car at another location, Fox 8 Cleveland reported.

Cleveland police responding to reports of a possible overdose found an unidentified 33-year-old woman dead inside a vehicle at around 4 a.m. Wednesday. Officers searched the car and found information leading to a man with a residence in Lakewood.

At the Lakewood apartment, neighbors told police the man moved from the home and that a woman now lived there with her child, News Net 5 reported.

Police found a 2-year-old girl inside at around 11 a.m. She was crying after being alone for about 7 hours, Fox 8 reported.

At this time her mother's death appears to be a heroin overdose. The Department of Children and Family Services is caring for the toddler until other relatives are found.
