Marie Osmond is gearing up to welcome her first grandchild and shared the exciting news during a recent interview with The Talk on Monday, US Weekly notes.

Marie Osmond, 53, couldn't resist getting in a tiny joke before breaking the big news.

"I'm pregnant!" the guest co-host said jokingly as the studio audience erupted in loud cheers, leading her to laugh and say, "No! No! But my daughter-in-law is!"

Her son eldest son Stephen Craig and his wife Claire Olds, who married in 2011, are excepting the bundle of joy. The couple decided to share the happy news with Marie while the musical family dined to celebrate Stephen's 30th birthday.

"I am so excited I'm going to be a grandma. I just can't wait. We went out for my son - for his birthday - he turned 30, which is amazing because I'm 29.

"He blew out the candles and then blew me away and said, "You're gonna be a grandma!' It was really fun."

Stephen is Marie's son with husband Stephen Lyle Craig - who she divorced in 1985 and then remarried in May 2011. Marie - a member of show business family The Osmonds - also has seven children with her second husband Brian Blosil, who she married in October 1986.
