Did you run to the supermarket in hopes of purchasing one of the last Twinkies to ever be sold, only to find that other Hostess-treats lovers got to them first?  Brace yourselves; Twinkies are coming back to supermarket shelves near you!

Twinkies will reportedly make their way back to stores on July 15 after a bankruptcy filing and a fight with its unionized workers caused the company to shut down.

Hostess is not limiting their comeback to Twinkies; other delicious treats like CupCakes, Ding Dongs, and Donettes will be back on sale as well.  The cakes will have the same great taste but rock a new tagline: "The Sweetest Comeback In The History Of Ever."

According to International Business Times, Hostess snacks disappeared from supermarkets in the United States in November 2012 after "the company filed for bankruptcy twice and failed to reach an agreement with the Teamsters Union that would allow Hostess Brands to cut employee pay and benefits, if the company maintained funding of existing pension plans."

About 15,000 unionized workers lost their jobs after the company shut down.

In response to the company's loss, Hostess reportedly sold parts of its brands to different buyers.  According to IBT, the company's major bread brands including Wonder were sold to Flowers Foods, which makes Tastykakes. McKee Foods, which makes Little Debbie snack cakes, bought Drake's Cakes.

Metropoulos & Co. and Apollo were the big winners when they bought the beloved Twinkies and other popular Hostess cakes for $410 million.

The tasty treats company's brand restructuring will reportedly enable the company to reach a greater amount of customers as snacks will be delivered to warehouses that supply retailers, rather than delivering directly to stores.  The brand also cut down production from 11 bakery plants to four plants.

Hostess did not change the price of their cakes; a box of 10 Twinkies will cost $3.99.
