It's been an exciting couple days for "Fifty Shades" fans! First E.L. James tweeted a picture at Universal Studios which means some major moves were being made, then fans helped Christian Grey celebrate his 30th birthday and now a director was finally announced. With the huge announcement of a director hopefully official casting news will be announced as well. Until then, the rumor mill continues to toss out the names of potential actors who could pull off the leading part of Christian Grey.

The latest names being brought up are "Dancing With The Stars" professional Val Chmerkovskiy and male model David Gandy. Both of these names are a definite stretch and probably won't seriously be considered for the role as neither one has acting experience but they are very nice to look at.

Chmerkovskiy is probably more known for his sultry and polished dance moves on the floor of ABC's hit show but he recently told Enstars that he would "be very comfortable with" the role of the sexy billionaire.

"I've read a few passages from the first book and thought it was pretty extreme, graphic writing, but to be honest, I'd be more comfortable in this role than some others," he told the website. "I would be honored to play Christian."

He also said he knew the perfect actress to play Anastasia Steele, Rachel McAdams. She has mentioned briefly in casting rumors before.

"I could see myself opposite Rachel McAdams," Chmerkovskiy said. "This would be my version of 'The Notebook.'"

The other name being tossed around is male model David Gandy. You might not know him by name but you probably recognize him from the recent Dolce & Gabbana ad for Light Blue, their men's fragrance.

The Stir brought this guy's name up claiming that he has the look and is "perfectly smoldering and sexy. He's so physically stunning." Even though he has no acting experience whatsoever the website adds "an Oscar-winner" is needed to play Grey. All you need is "a smokehouse who doesn't mind getting it on on camera."

Chmerkovskiy and Gandy probably won't make it very far in the casting rumors but one man who is still ranking in at a top contender is Matt Bomer. He has been number one on many lists since casting rumors first began. Fans love his piercing blue eyes, chiseled physique and his great acting skills.

In other "Fifty Shades" news, a casting director has finally been announced. E.L. James tweeted "delighted and thrilled to let you guys know that Sam Taylor-Johnson has agreed to direct the film of Fifty Shades of Grey."

"I am excited to be charged with the evolution of 'Fifty Shades of Grey' from page to screen," Johnson told "E! News." "For the legions of fans, I want to say that I will honor the power of Erika's book and the characters of Christian and Anastasia. They are under my skin, too."

So, what do you think about the latest rumors and the big announcement?
