Samsung is showing its commitment to virtual reality, giving its Gear headset a new app called Milk VR.

The service, which debuted on Tuesday, is intended to be a response to those wondering if the Gear VR has enough content by giving users free 360-degree videos, according to CNET. Other tools that have brought Samsung further into the VR market include Milk Video and Milk Radio services.

"Video is like the Wild West in VR," Nick DiCarlo, head of Samsung's VR branch, said in an interview earlier this month. "There are so many ways to shoot immersive video. Milk VR can play a wide range of content."

Gear VR owners will be able to download and stream the Milk VR content for free, which should help Samsung in its goal of making the app a "daily habit" for its customers, TechCrunch reported.

The service is available now as a technical preview, featuring a limited amount of content right now with regular content updates expected. It won't be hard for users to binge on content since the videos are said to be range from one to 10 minutes long.

Milk VR's launch follows three weeks after Samsung started selling the $199 Gear VR in the U.S. through its partnership with Facebook's Oculus, CNET reported. The Galaxy Note 4 smartphone serves as the display and audio output for the headset.
