When Blake Shelton sat down with Jimmy Kimmel on the set of "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" recently, the conversation quickly turned to Shelton's wife, fellow country star Miranda Lambert, and how the couple deals with the competition factor within the marriage. The two stars are, after all, in the same business and they are often being nominated for the same awards.

Shelton, who coaches contestants on "The Voice," clearly doesn't coach Lambert. He explained to Kimmel that he's got the whole competition thing with his wife figured out, according to Taste of Country.

"It doesn't do good for me to be competitive with her," he explained on the ABC show. And why is that? "We're married," he added with a big smile, "I'm still trying to get laid sometimes!"

Shelton confessed to the talk show host that Lambert has a competitive streak a mile wide. So, what does he do when she gets competitive with him? Simple. He says he lets her "roll right over me," Taste of Country reported.

Is Shelton being meek? Not at all. The "Bringing Back the Sunshine" singer is being completely practical.

"All her music is about killing guys and burning their houses down and beating up people ... that's my wife!" he told Kimmel. "What do you want me to do? I'm not going to challenge her!"
