Actor and comedian Adam Sandler took the number one spot on Forbes' list of most overpaid Hollywood actors for the second year in a row, beating Johnny Depp and Tom Hanks for the coveted title, the Daily News reported on Wednesday.

The 48-year-old's most recent film, "Grown Ups 2," was a hit at the box office, raking in $246 million globally. But he's also starred in some duds, like "Jack and Jill" and "That's My Boy."

"We estimate that for every $1 Sandler was paid, he returned an average of $3.20," Forbes reported, noting that its the lowest return on investment of any actor whose career the magazine looked at.

Depp, returning an average of $4.10 for each dollar paid, came in second on the list due to recent flops including "Dark Shadows" and "The Lone Ranger."

Forbes' poured over the annual incomes by studying paychecks of top actors and the budget and income of the last few films each of them had starred in before June 2014 to figure out a return on investment for each actor.

Comedian Ben Stiller came in number three, boasting  $4.80 return from "Tower Heist" and "The Watch," which weren't big sellers in the theaters.

And for Sandler, his new projects "Pixels" and "Hotel Transylvania 2" will be released by Sony, the Huffington Post reported.
